Most bedside gun safes are boxes, and a box has no room for a weapon light. Reach Tactical is a holster with a lock. The pistol sits in it the way it sits on your belt, light mounted, red dot on. Touch the sensor and it releases. Push it back down and it locks.
Because the gun sits exposed by the bed, your hand closes on the grip before the lock opens. There is no lid to wait for and no cavity to reach into in the dark.

Streamlight TLR-1 HL and TLR-1 HL-X. Surefire X300 Ultra, both the X300U-A and the X300U-B. It is built into the safe.
Streamlight TLR-7 X, TLR-7 X Sub, TLR-7 HL-X, TLR-3 X and TLR-8 X. Surefire XC3. It seats inside the standard holster and comes pre-assembled.

Your fingerprint or thumbprint, a 4-button keypad code of 4 to 8 presses, or the key. It stores up to 10 prints, and it learns more of yours each time you open it. Use the fingerprint, the keypad or both.
Two screws hold it to the side of a nightstand, and it works in any orientation, on any flat, solid surface: a desk or a closet wall too. The pistol stays where your hand goes in the dark.
