A rifle wall rack puts the AR where you can reach it, and leaves it there for anyone else too. A cabinet locks it up and puts it a minute away. RACT is a locking wall gun rack that does both. The barrel lock clamps the handguard, the trigger cover blocks the trigger, and the rail screws into the studs. Your fingerprint opens it in 0.2 seconds.
Handguards up to 2.75 in across. The takedown pin shield keeps the upper on while it is racked. Scopes, red dots, lights and slings clear the barrel lock.
The barrel lock releases and the rifle comes off the wall in a firing grip, not out of a cabinet sideways.
A 30 in steel rail and three GRK structural lag screws, included. Mounted flat it spans studs on 16 in or 24 in centers. Vertical or horizontal, right-handed or left-handed. Tested to over 550 lb of force.

RACT Biometric stores up to 10 fingerprints and updates your print each time you open it. RACT Keypad takes a code of 4 to 8 presses, 87,380 possible codes with a brute-force lockout. Both run 10+ months on a charge, recharge over USB-C, and come with two override keys.
Easy to mount and fit my Daniel Defense DDM4v7 Pro well. Would be even better if there was a way to prevent the safety selector from being moved but otherwise I give this safe a 10/10. Trigger guard is well made and protects the trigger from being touched by unwanted hands
Got two kids in the house. This lock is perfect. It works great for M&P AR 15. Soon will be getting a shotgun and will need to install one more of these.
I had issues with other mounts due to my AR configuration or with AR15 type rifles like SIG that are different enough not to fit in a Hornady claimshell safe. This provides good protection with max configuration options. I may look into a truck type mounting solution for a truck gun. E.g. mounted to a plate bolted to seat mounts or the like.
It took a bit to get things adjusted but my AR fits like a glove. It is a great design and heavy duty material. I would have given it a 5 star but the unit beeps every minute or so even after charging it for hours. I have to leave it plugged in to keep the beeping to stop
