Bought a RACT system for my PCC. Unfortunately my PCC was too small and had my light in the way to mount on the system, but customer support was very understanding and made the return process easy! For a home defense safe, there are two primary and often conflicting objectives -- safety and ease-of-access. The Vara Safety RACT is the first Rifle & Shotgun Safe that I've seen that accomplishes both objectives seamlessly.

This is super well designed to works better than I expected. I would highly recommend! The fingerprint reader is super fast too.

For context i have an sig rattler with a can and a telescoping stock , it was a snug fit and took a bit of adjusting to get it to fit but was able to do it. It would have been a bit easier of a fit if the but stock portion was more adjustable for stocks that my be wider or have thicker sections. In mine with the telescoping stock the top where the rails attach is wider and stick out and was not able to fit within the given space of the slot. Do advise if u have a thicker stock or padding to measure and make sure urs will fit. For those wondering the stock slot it 2 1/4 inches. Over all I love it and it’s made well .

Took a couple times to get it right. It keeps the firearm secure enough to keep someone from lifting it if briefly left in vehicle. Kit should come with an Allan key. I used my Allan key set, but it was a pain bc the keys are stationary. Satisfied.

I love e my new AR mount. I just installed it. It is very user friendly. It was easy to adjust and secure to the wall. Instructions were well written. If you don't have a gun safe, this is a viable option.

High quality build hitting all the marks that others couldn't: rugged, easy to use, fast deployment, highly adaptable to all rifles/shotgun buildouts, yet compact in design to fit many areas. The hard part was decided on the expense, but it truly is exactly as marketed without exaggeration. Given that, it's worth the one time purchase for something so well designed and tough, enabling quick access yet preventing unapproved use or theft. Even their packaging is built rock solid. That I appreciate as attention to detail and pride in their product. I totally recommend this as THE mount for your rifle or shotgun!

This thing is exactly as described. Works perfectly after you get it adjusted correctly. Make sure you get all your adjustments done before you mount it to the studs! I will be ordering the AR version next !!

This is by far, the best weapon safe for a vehicle. Taking safety, liability and ease of access into consideration and finding the perfect safe, VARA comes in at number one in my opinion. I looked for and wasted money on too many other options that did not meet all three of my requirements listed above.

Very satisfied with my new Reach 2s. Built extremely well and it’s easy to use. I mounted mine in my center console and it reads mine and my wife’s finger prints.

I always had my pistol for home defense was easy to secure. Have always wanted my shotgun to be my go to for defense but never felt comfortable with the grandkids now thanks to Ract Shotgun Safe, For the first time I truly fell confident I’m my home defense.

I'm very happy with my Vara 2S. Its reassuring to know the HG is secured in my F150 but easily accessed with the biometric lock/release. I did have trouble getting it to unlock w/in the about 3 weeks of install but reprogramed print and have had no issue since (6 months later). Releases everytime w/o delay.

As with anything that has keys that can be lost or misplaced you will need extras!
Especially with this product you will have to have extra keys

This is my 2nd RACT unit. LOVE these units! Provides quick access to my firearms and keeps them snug and safe. Very easy to customize to any firearm and doesn't take up a refrigerator-size footprint in my home. Thank you!

The system has infinite adjustments making it VERY versatile. LOVE IT! Thank you! A few tips. TAKE YOUR TIME getting your weapon seated and fit just right BEFORE wall mounting. There is no rush. Do it right the 1st time. "Finger tighten" everything down until you are ready to mount the system, THEN “permanent tighten” everything down just before mounting. Once you think you have all mounting points installed and before the system is not mounted, have someone hold / brace the system and practice taking and replacing the weapon in & out of the system. Make minor adjustments as needed. Pay special attention to the buttstock adjustments. If the buttstock seating is overly constricting, it will make removing and replacing the weapon a bit more of a process. There is a “good fit” margin between too tight and too wide. I spent the most installation time on the trigger guard / take-down pin cover (rifle version) assembly. When you are ready to mount, use a level tool to assist in mounting. If the system is tilted towards the opening of the auto-opening hinge, the hinge will spring back and slightly block your weapon’s egress.

I'm a bit pissed. I bought this to protect my family from themselves, meaning kids and from any potential external threat. I have had this for about 2 weeks. Worked fine for 2 or 3 days. Then it wouldn't accept my print. I reset it and reapplied my print plus 2 other fingers ( you can add up to ten). That worked for a day or so. It's been like this off and on. Reset, reapply print, reset and repeat. This is very dangerous for a threat level situation when seconds count. I'm going to try and get a refund.

This is an excellent product I Highly recommended to every gun owner very strong built, superfast easy access. 100% reliable and small enough to put anywhere you want. I plan on buying another one. Absolutely love it!!

Very convenient mount that allows me to always have a loaded shotgun at the ready, while also having it secure from unauthorized hands. My only critique is, it would be better to use lag screws to mount to the wall. I think it would be more secure.

Overall content with the security and ease of the initial setup.
Slightly difficult to re-align the locking mechanism when disassembled for mounting

Cons, The ad shows the holster mounted in several vehicle consoles, unfortunately you won’t be able to re-secure the lock from the bottom of the holster if placed in a small compartment.

Largest flaw is when seating my Springfield Hellcat, it ejects the magazine. I’ve emailed the company direct with no response.

For the price, it may or may not be worth it for your particular set up.

I just completed an AR build. The Vera Safety biometric safe is a great way to lock it up and display it at the same time. It looks fantastic hanging on the wall of my home office right beside my desk, and it’s easy accessible in an emergency. It took me a few tries to get the bracket adjusted to fit my rifle, but turned out fantastic. The bracket is easily adjusted, but I just don’t have much real estate on this gun.
