Got the Ract for my shotgun, Bretta A300. So far Pierce to be good quality, but the shotgun will not fit until I get the AR conversion kit because I added a pistol grip to my shotgun so those out there make a note
To confirm with the company, I called them up to make sure and they said that the AR conversion will work for the shotgun with the pistol grip, which is good
But customer service on their shipping time is terrible and since I already purchased one of their products, I would think they could speed the other one up on the conversion kit, but they said no. I’m not real happy with the customer service. They don’t seem to care when I was talking to them on the phone didn’t make me feel like I was a priority to them.

This safe is pricy, but it works perfectly for me to securely hold my shotgun while making it immediately available to deploy. I was concerned about the fingerprint lock. I’ve had the unit installed for two days now, and I’ve programed two of my fingerprints into the unit. I’ve tested it about 2 dozen times now, and even without looking, I’ve been able to release the lock consistently within a second or so. I’ve got a flashlight mounted on the front of the barrel and a side mounted carrier with 4 extra rounds. I was able to move/adjust the trigger guard and the upper and lower mounts to obtain a perfect fit to my shotgun. I especially like that the battery, when fully charged, will last for several months. I need only to periodically check the charge on the battery, and when it indicates a low charge, it is easy to plug it in for a few hours to get a full charge that will last for several months. The install was easy, given the very helpful video provided by the manufacturer. I had a previous set up to secure my shotgun that was a nightmare. Very glad I made this move!

Just what I have been looking for. A way to keep my home defense shotgun readily available and secure. Much quicker that keeping it in a traditional gun safe. Installation was easy and it is very sturdy and tamper proof.

I couldn't find a way to edit my review yesterday and I stand corrected. I've upped my review from 4 stars to 5. Two reasons. 1. I'm apparently blind as Vara Safety does have a way for the mount to be mounted the way I wanted. I've ordered it and it's on the way. 2. Vera Safety responded almost immediately to point out I had missed the mount. I'm very willing to admit I made an error and wanted to publicly acknowledge it. Thanks for great products and I look forward to purchasing more

Just received my new reach pistol safe. Easy to set up and use. I have no complaints about the quality, delivery time or ease of use. However, my preference for locating it is under my desk secured to the right pedestal so I can draw with my right hand. Unfortunately, the Reach mounting bracket is not reversible. I can mount it to the underside of the top but it’s not as secure. If it’s mounted on the pedestal I can bolt it to my desk. I prefer to mount things by bolts because that’s one extra step for someone to deal with if they are trying to get my weapon. If it’s just screwed to the top of my desk the reach is easily ripped out. Additionally the grip faces the wrong way for how I would naturally draw mounted to then underside of my desk. I’m going to have a machine shop make me a 1/4” steel bracket the will allow me to mount the reach to the bracket and then the bracket will be bolted to my desk. This could be easily remedied by extending the right side to the top and putting mounting holes there as well. Then you could mount it on left or right surfaces. I also agree with other commenters and eagerly wait for the improvements to accommodate optics but the length of holster should also be increase or the bottom removed to accommodate weapons that have threaded barrels. I had to change my threaded barrel out so my weapon would fit. Overall still a great product. I’m purchasing the vehicle one as well.

I love this system so far. I am always skeptical and a little extra observant of biometric systems, with that being said, I trust the specific system that is integrated to this safe. I spent a fair amount of time testing the fingerprint system and didn’t have a single false rejection, or false acceptance. Not to say it’s impossible, but it’s not a cheap system evidently. It is truly quick access, it is effective at weapon retention and mitigates any way I can imagine the weapon trying to be removed shy of cutting the whole wall out and cutting the studs… my only complaint is that the trigger guard is a snug fit over the weapon, it can make it a little bit of a pain to get it just right to be able to get the weapon out without any hang ups, but there is a sweet spot. If you decide to use or build a conceal device, just make sure you will have enough clearance because it has to angle out fairly hard.

Took less than 15 minutes to setup for my gun and maybe 5 minutes to install once I found where the studs were in the wall. Built like a tank!

Will buy again for a few of my other weapons

I am disappointed in the level of retention. The firearm is retained when lightly pulled however a determined pull and twist was all it took to free the fire arm of the locking bar. In fairness, I am referring to a man sized determination and this is likely secure enough for any young child. I believe this could be solved with a slightly longer locking bar or possibly a snugger fit to holster. This product is exactly what I want and need to keep my family safe. The only change I would make is for the locking bar to be longer in order to provide a more secure retention.

I bought the AR RACT to have access to my AR 12 style semi-auto shot gun. A bit clunky to align my rifle, modified the trigger guard to get it more secure. Need to reposition my light and foreword grip. These issues were expected for a One-Fits all rack. RACT gave me the security and access that I was wanting. I would give it a five star, but the mounting slots need to be larger to catch wall studs. Cool product with a few tweaks!

Just want I need a perfect fit for my gun and ease and quick way to pull my gun when I need most ,I pray 🙏 that day never comes.

My wife and I have different carry guns. It’s great to have the option to easily switch out the holster when either of us are home alone or even when we’re together. We train with eachother’s guns and the safe is strategically located so that in an emergency, we can access our secured firearm quickly.

light/laser option needed for handgun safe.

Best safety equipment I've ever owned. Fits my mossberg 590 shockwave like a glove. I'm able to keep it fully loaded and safety off. If an emergency arises, I don't want to worry about loading and taking the safety off. I feel my grand kids are very safe, even with the gun loaded. Little fingers can't get near the trigger. I have it next to my bed, covered by curtain. Easy reach.

I searched and searched and searched, and this is the only one that checks all the boxes. Fully adjustable to my needs and the biometrics work perfectly. There is absolutely nothing else on the market that supports my tactical shotgun with an optic, a flash light and loaded side saddle. So glad I found this

Like the idea but biometric reader but does not work well with my fingerprints.
Don't think I want to trust in an emergency, takes several tries with different fingers to unlock. if you are someone that doesn't gets your hands dirty your probably ok.

As a Dad and husband who needed a solution to keep his home defense shotgun secure but also readily accessible… the RACT is exactly what I needed! It enables me to access my shotgun within seconds but also safe from those who don’t need to touch it. Biometrics work fast and well and the firearm is very secure!
